Petals for Hope strives to make a positive impact on individuals in less than desirable circumstances while sustainably supporting the environment by repurposing event and wedding flowers. We are on a mission to recycle wedding and corporate event floral waste and put these twice-loved flowers into the hands of those who need them the most.
Our team collects flower arrangements that otherwise would be thrown away from weddings and special events. We then repurpose the flowers by recutting and rearranging them, and deliver these repurposed bouquets to those who would benefit most in the community (usually the elderly, abused, and sick).
In addition to the positive environmental impact and social good benefits we strive to achieve, we partner with other non-profits to help provide job training services to reintroduce people into the workforce. We specifically work with people who have experienced trauma, such as those leaving an abusive relationship, to help them find hope and a way forward. We offer job training in administrative duties, marketing, flower arranging, and more.
Since our conception in 2018, we have successfully repurposed and composted thousands of blooms.
Rather than see flowers end up in a landfill, we help our clients divert these blooms into the hands of those who can benefit the most. These repurposed arrangements bring joy to those in hospice, nursing homes, homeless shelters, woman shelters, crisis and grief support, and so much more.
We work directly with industry professionals, retailers, and individuals to pick up flowers immediately after events and weddings, as well as from retail locations, to repurpose them. This not only brings joy to those who could use a smile but also helps to reduce landfill waste. All blooms and greenery that are unfit for use are composted.
Bonus: Through donating your flowers, you receive an acknowledgment letter that can be used as a tax deduction.
